Shiv Sagar Restaurant Review, Juhu Mumbai

When in Mumbai one of my favourite places to eat out at is Shiv Sagar in Juhu.  Having just came back from Mumbai after a long week of wedding shopping I’m missing the food.

Shiv Sagar is located just near Juhu beach and walking distance from many hotels around that area, so a great place to dine anytime of the day.

The venue is large with two separate dining rooms; the one at the back is much quieter but I prefer the main area where you are in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the restaurant. It’s a very noisy ambience with lots going on, but that’s just part of the experience.

Shiv Sagar is originally known for its dosa’s and pau bhaji, but there is so much on the menu to choose from now including multi-cuisine like Mexican and Italian.

Either way as we were here for a week we did dine many times therefore tried a variety of dishes which included dal tadka, dal makhani,  dhal, bindi, baigan bharata, uttapam, dosas, idli, noodles and much more.  Below is a selection of few of the dishes we had. My favourite of course is the masala dosa and the baigan bharta which was absolutely delicious; yum, yum!

Apart from the food, the fresh juices in season are also a must and to end the meal a faluda will go down as a treat.

Overall you can’t go wrong with the food at Shiv Sagar, it’s delicious and with such a vast variety of vegetarian food you will keep coming back. It’s a family restaurant, and the price is very reasonable where a group of 4 can dine for around £12, it’s a bargain! So when in Mumbai next make sure you check it out.
