I’ve heard so much about the Atlantis hotel on the palm in Dubai, so my husband and I thought if we dined there we can see part of it, therefore we had made reservations at Nobu.

As we were slightly early we sat at the sake lounge, which was dimed lit and had a huge bar with a variety of drinks, we ordered our drinks and had those with the nibbles provided.

Once we were ready we taken to our table, and soon as you entered the restaurant the waiters all shout “Irashaimase!” a traditional Japanese welcome.

The interior of the restaurant is very contemporary looking with low lights, dark wood settings getting that warm feeling. It’s quite a spacious restaurant so you don’t feel cramped at all, and you get a dedicated waiter for the night, which is always nice.

We started off with some chilli and garlic edamame, which I must say was delicious, so moreish that you just kept going.

Being pregnant meant I couldn’t eat the raw fish dishes, but my husband is a huge fan and tried the yellow tail jalapeno;

Other dishes we opted were included chicken tacos, broccoli shiso, rock shrimp tempura creamy, Shojin veg tempura and the signature black cod. I must say all the dishes were excellent especially the black cod with miso, it just melted in your mouth, no wonder it’s their signature dish.

By this time were so full but we tried the bento box dessert which consisted of a chocolate fondant cake with green tea ice-cream, it was very different but in a nice way, the flavours worked well together.

I must say I was really impressed with Nobu, in Dubai, the food, service, atmosphere was all excellent, I would highly recommend making a trip, it is pricey, but worth it on holiday.
